Admission requirements
Gather these before starting the form. Originals will be verified at your interview.
- Application form Completed and signed by the parent or guardian.
- Birth certificate Certified copy of the learner's unabridged birth certificate.
- ID documents Copies of both parents' or guardian's identity documents.
- Proof of residence Utility bill or lease agreement not older than three months.
- Academic records Latest school report and official transfer card from previous school.
- Medical information Immunisation records and any medical aid membership details.
- Passport photographs Four recent colour passport-sized photographs of the learner.
- Medical & indemnity forms School-issued forms provided with the application pack.

When are applications for 2027 open?
Applications for the 2027 academic year are accepted until 15 August 2026. Late applications may be considered if spaces are available.
When will I know if my child has been accepted?
Acceptance letters are usually sent within two weeks of completing the application and assessment process. For late applications, decisions are made within five working days.
What are the school fees at Lotsha Primary?
Lotsha is a no-fee public school (Quintile 2). There are no tuition fees. The school receives a per-learner grant from the Department of Basic Education to cover operational expenses and learning resources.
Are scholarships or bursaries available?
Merit-based scholarships in academics, sport, and arts — alongside need-based financial support for supplementary costs (uniforms, trips) — are available. Scholarship applications close 31 October 2026.
What is the language policy?
Tshivenda Home Language and English First Additional Language are the mediums of instruction. Support is provided for additional-language learners.
Does Lotsha offer boarding?
No — Lotsha is a day school. An aftercare programme runs until 15:30 each school day.
What are the school hours?
The school day runs 07:30 to 13:30 for Foundation Phase and 07:30 to 14:30 for Intermediate and Senior Phase. Extracurriculars run after school.
